When you arrive at our clinic for a 2D Echo, our friendly staff will guide you through the process. You will be asked to lie down on an examination table. A specialized technician, trained in echocardiography, will apply gel to your chest and use a transducer device that emits sound waves. This device will be gently moved across different areas of your chest to obtain images of your heart.
During the procedure, you may be asked to change positions or hold your breath briefly to capture clear images. The entire process is painless and typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
